auto insurance deductible
What is auto insurance * affected when the damage is less than the * deductible?

I hit a tire that was on the road. When I arrived home I looked under the car and my lack of transmission fluid. After about 40 minutes, completely stopped dripping. The next morning I called my insurance company and there was not much of a conversation. They more or less told me I could take my car anywhere I wanted fixed and would be contacted by regulators. "So it was like oooooooooooook. I had my car towed to a repair shop. I was told I needed a new oil Pan (liquid bucket is not the transmission, engine oil). I have my car back the same day. The amount was $ 257. My deductible is $ 500. Here's my question. Since the amount I paid was less than my deductible and I paid out of pocket, my insurance be affected at all? I have State Farm. Does it affect your rates ** only for the mere fact who has filed a complaint **? What about discounts? For example, the accident-free discount. Would that be lost? If so, how long before it becomes discounts?

You should ask your agent how rates would be implemented. Since there will be a payment claim (The damage is less than your deductible) However, since I have been informed of a claim …. that can affect any free offer that was lost. But the best source of information on their rates will be his agent.
